The only necessary condition is strong interest in an interdisciplinary research area and being a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Participation in PI4 activities is open to domestic and international students. Direct funding from the grant will be available only to the domestic students.
